Yesterday I had tons of work but decided to watch L.A. Confidential instead...
I'd say it was a good choice. Am I the only one who thinks Guy Pearce is hot?
Then, went to a friend's house and spent special time with this little guy. Meet Whiskers (AKA Whiskey, AKA Big Kitty, AKA Kitty)
He likes back rubs, I like back rubs. We bonded.
Today it was off to the races to catch up on all the work I was busy not doing Friday and Saturday, but I carved out some time for food.
First, dinner with the housemates at Sheridan Livery, "fine dining in a casual atmosphere," (menu here). I needed to do a little detoxing after this weekend so I went with a classic, their Caesar Salad, which has a really delicious dressing,
and one of the daily specials, Bruschetta with Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella.
I'm really taking strides in my efforts to learn to like tomatoes. Used to gag, now I can eat them when they're covered in oniony-basil juice. Progress, people.
Friends tried out the Savory Cheese Tart (super rich, could share with four people), French Onion Soup (always a solid choice), and Spring Rolls (filled with duck).
Then, because this obviously was entirely too healthy for my weekly free-for-all days (AKA diet? what diet? days), one of my best friends and I went over to Pronto, a gelateria just up Main Street from Sheridan Livery.
So many options, and they let you try as many as you want! How can a girl decide?
Tried Toasted Almond (delicious) and Cinnamon (even better), and I've also had their Chocolate Hazelnut Salty Peanut, and... drumroll please... my personal favorite, the Coconut.
So, today's combo of choice? Cinnamon + Coconut.
Oh yeah, that hit the spot.
And now I'm stuck doing all of the homework that I've put off until 12 hours before it's due. Fabulous.
